A CASE STUDY

This project required scaffolding to the full height of the front elevation, two scaffolds to the rear elevation and full access around three chimneys for restoration and repair works to the façade, windows, and chimneys. The building being scaffolded for this project was an existing bank on a busy high street. Because of this, security & safety to the public were a hazard SAY worked to avoid. 

Working with the client, SAY erected and dismantled the scaffolding out of hours to ensure no risk was present to the public during the scaffolding erection and dismantling procedures. SAY also ensured that a scaffold alarm was installed to the first lift once it had been erected to ensure the security of the scaffold and the bank. Scaffold alarms with installed to the front elevation scaffold and to both scaffolds at the rear elevation. SAY performed weekly inspections of the scaffolding, maintaining additional measures put in place for the safety to the public while the scaffold was standing on the high street.
